First Visit: What to Expect
At your first visit, we’ll begin with a consultation and thorough assessment, including a review of your past health history. This helps us identify and understand lifestyle factors or pre-existing health conditions that may play a part in your overall foot health.
Next, we’ll conduct a detailed analysis of your foot’s structure, examine your gait, and discuss any symptoms you are experiencing, including discomfort, fatigue, or pain, and any concerns you have regarding your feet. Dr. Lal will also talk with you about any previous treatments or remedies you may have tried, including over-the-counter shoe inserts, pain relievers, other medications, or different healthcare approaches.
Dr. Lal will also examine the wear patterns on your shoes. This simple evaluation provides useful information and insights into your gait, movement patterns, and other underlying issues that can contribute to your foot pain or other symptoms.
Treat Your Feet to Custom Orthotics
Creating a stable and balanced foundation can often help restore optimal foot positioning and alleviate pain. Unlike over-the-counter shoe inserts, custom orthotics are created specifically for you based on precise foot measurements.
If Dr. Lal recommends orthotics as part of your custom treatment plan, we will take careful measurements, including 3D imaging, of your feet as part of your initial visit to ensure your orthotics fit perfectly and feel great.
